Position Summary

Position: I-Prod Design Center Engineering Co-op (January to August 2025)

 

Location: Seneca Falls, NY

 

Major: Mechanical Engineering/Mechanical Engineering Technology or similar

 

Academic Schedule: Spring/Summer 2025 rotation, full-time, 40 hours per week

 

About the Experience: Our ITT Goulds Pumps co-op candidates have the unique opportunity to work for one of the most recognizable pump brands in the world. They will obtain firsthand experience in the design and manufacture of engineered to order, high specification industrial pumps and monitoring equipment. Our top mechanical engineering and design professionals will offer guidance and mentorship for each candidate.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Generation of solid models and detail design drawings 
  • Mechanical design calculations and FEA
  • Plotting pump test data and evaluating it compared to expected performance
  • Generation of pump performance curves from test data
  • Process engineering change notices for various products
  • Work in R&D test lab setting up pumps for testing

Position Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required
  • Candidate must be enrolled in a bachelor's degree program in mechanical engineering/mechanical engineering technology or similar
  • Candidate must have completed 2 years of related college coursework
  • Must have an interest in supporting research and development and product engineering projects in a dynamic engineering environment
  • Knowledge of 3D modeling and MS office is required
