Position: Supply Chain Intern

Location:  Valencia, CA

Major(s):  Supply Chain Management, Business Administration. Targeting Junior/Senior

Academic Schedule:  ASAP – either part time or full time depending on candidate schedule.

About the experience: ITT is an industrial manufacturer of critical, engineered components that serve fast-growing end markets in transportation, flow, energy, aerospace and defense. ITT Aerospace Controls in Valencia, CA is looking for a dynamic supply chain intern to join our growing business. Our internship program will offer guidance and mentorship on how to be a highly effective member of a supply chain organization in an aerospace manufacturing environment.

Essential Responsibilities – Enter your position’s information

• Quoting parts, calling suppliers, and building relationship with stakeholders (including internal and external).
• Track spend/usage, analyze and propose improvements.
• Help monitor and drive metrics to analyze and improve supplier performance.
• Identify value creation opportunities.
• Determine industry trends and evaluate potential ITT opportunities.
• Conduct market assessments with recommended actions.
• Review competitor products and provide feedback.
• Support development of proprietary database tools.
• Assist market intelligence team with special projects.
• Research to collect competitive market intelligence and update the current supply chain database to support a quick response to market and supply disruptions.
• Supporting continuous improvement initiatives and creating SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) documents for more efficient procedures relevant to data analytics and market intelligence activities.
• Work on any additional ad hoc reports or projects that will complement the skill set and contribute to the development of the Intern.

• Currently enrolled as a student at an accredited college and pursuing a business related degree. Supply Chain or Data Analytics majors are preferred; enrollment in a strategy or market research oriented MBA program a plus
• Experience with Microsoft Office applications, Word, Excel, & PowerPoint
• Background in market research and competitive intelligence
• Excellent ability to analyze, model and interpret large data with methodical and logical approach
• Excellent strategic and analytical thinking
• Effective organizational and project management skills to meet deadlines while dealing with multiple projects simultaneously
• Able to deal with complexity and change
• Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to build effective relationships with all levels of the organization, customers and partners
